Training is not something you set once and forget. As your team, community, and program needs change, training may need to evolve too. Even well-designed courses can become outdated over time.
To help organizations review and update their existing training programs, we’ve created a free Training Review Toolkit. It’s simple to use and works with any LMS or learning format.
What’s Inside
The toolkit includes two practical resources:
1. Training Update Checklist
A quick, 10-minute scan to help you see where your current training may need improvements. Use it to spot issues like outdated content, low engagement, or skill gaps.
2. Post-Training Evaluation Template
A follow-up framework you can use at 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year after training. These check-in questions help you understand:
- What’s being applied in real work
- What skills are sticking
- What may need more support or refresh
Both tools are flexible and easy to use — no special software needed.
Why This Matters
When training is regularly reviewed and refreshed, organizations are better able to:
- Support staff with relevant, real-world skills
- Improve service delivery and program outcomes
- Strengthen confidence, consistency, and communication across teams
A small check-in can prevent bigger gaps later.
Want Support Reviewing Your Training?
If you’d like help understanding the results from your checklist or evaluation questions, we now offer a Training Impact Audit.
This service combines:
- Curriculum and learner experience review from Talance, and
- Outcomes and data evaluation from research consultant Gary Borislow.
The result is a clear improvement plan you can implement in phases.
